Luke Sheppard is an executive, manager, and engineer from the heavy equipment industry turned author and business consultant. He specializes in helping mid- and senior-level managers in medium-sized organizations be more efficient and drive business improvement through engaged teams.

Before joining Samuel Associates as a Senior Management Consultant, Luke spent over 20 years in the heavy equipment industry in engineering, operations, general management, and executive leadership roles.

He also the Principal of Sheppard & Company, a strategic consultancy located in Ottawa, Canada, which focuses on management consulting and business advisory services.

Luke’s unique ability to focus on what’s most important by filtering through the noise, solving business problems using engineering methods and driving results with practical tools and solutions differentiate him from the average consultant. Luke’s extensive business experience is backed by a solid education in Canada and the United States. He holds an Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Algonquin College (Ottawa, ON), a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, an M.Sc. in Systems Engineering from Iowa State University, and an Executive MBA from the University of Iowa.
