Event Overview

The 5th Annual Samuel Group Halifax Citadel Reception to be held on the evening of Tuesday, September 30, 2025, on the opening day of the DEFSEC Atlantic 2025 Trade show. The reception celebrates the defence and security community in Atlantic Canada as well as the cultural and historic ties and importance of the Halifax Citadel to the region and to the industry.

The event is a tremendous opportunity to market the products and services of your organization to a large number of DEFSEC Conference participants, including defence and security executives as well as Federal, Provincial and Municipal government officials responsible for defence procurement. We are expecting over 500 people to attend the event.

Our Featured Event Charity

Each year, the Samuel Group selects a Featured Charity for our Annual Citadel Reception.
This year, we are proud to highlight the Homes For Heroes Foundation (H4HF), which provides supportive housing and tailored reintegration programs for Veterans through its “Veterans’ Village” model.
H4HF works with Veterans Affairs Canada and local partners to deliver individualized support, including one-on-one counselling, group therapy, and skills development, enabling residents to overcome challenges, achieve stability, secure employment, and transition to independent living.
