Samuel Associates is pleased to welcome Brigadier-General (Ret'd) Rick Pitre as Associate Senior Advisor.  In his former roles as Commander Air Force Training and Education, 2 Canadian Air Division and Director General Space and Joint C4ISR, Chief of Force Development at the Department of National Defence (DND), he was responsible for advising Canada’s senior defence and ministerial leadership on key air and space and information assurance strategies, plans, and operational and training programs.

As Associate Senior Advisor, Rick will provide advice and guidance on specific capability areas in Aerospace and Space, Artificial Intelligence, Defence and Security, and Training Simulation and Virtual/Augmented Reality.

A highly decorated Canadian Armed Forces veteran, Rick held a number of other high-level positions at the Department National Defence, including the Canadian Commander NORAD Air Defence in North Bay and Director of Operations for the Canadian Air Defence Sector during 9-11. During his years of service, Rick was responsible for conceiving, designing, and leading highly responsive organizations at the cutting edge of technology and military innovation.

Rick holds a Master of Arts in International Studies from King's College London (UK), Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Economics from the University of Manitoba, and is a graduate of the International Senior Executive Masters Level Program from the Royal College of Defence in London (UK).
