Samuel Associates is pleases to announce the addition of Brigadier General (Ret’d) Patrice Sabourin to our distinguished team as Senior Associate, Cyber & IM/IT. His extensive experience and remarkable career in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) make him a valuable asset to our firm and our clients.

Goran Samuel Pesic, CEO of Samuel Associates, extends a warm welcome to Patrice, stating, "We are honoured to have Patrice join our team. His exemplary leadership and profound expertise in cyber operations and information management are unparalleled. His addition significantly strengthens our capabilities in these critical areas."

Patrice Sabourin's 36-year illustrious career with the CAF began in his hometown of Quebec City. His journey in military service was marked by a steadfast commitment to excellence and innovation. After completing his master's degree, Patrice embarked on a career that saw him take on various pivotal roles, including being posted to the National Services Management Center in Ottawa and serving as the Wing Telecommunications and Information Systems Officer at 17 Wing Winnipeg.

Promoted to Colonel in 2014, he was assigned as Director Cyber Force Development, a role that laid the foundation for his advocacy for a credible Cyber Force for the CAF. His tenure culminated as Brigadier General, leading the Director General Information Capabilities Force Development, where he played a crucial role in advancing major capital projects under Strong Secure Engaged and NORAD Modernization.

Beyond his professional achievements, Patrice has served Canada abroad in Afghanistan and in the Arctic at CFS Alert. His leadership in the development of the CAF Cyber Domain has been particularly noteworthy, marking the first new domain for military operations in almost a century.
Reflecting on his career, Patrice notes,

"It has been a privilege to serve Canada and to contribute to the evolution of the Cyber Domain in the CAF. I look forward to bringing this wealth of experience to Samuel Associates and its clients' to continue making meaningful contributions in the realm of Cyber & IM/IT."
