The Samuel Group is pleased to welcome Anvesh Jain to the firm as a Policy Intern for the Summer of 2022. He is the inaugural award-recipient of the Dr. Robert Spencer Internship Program in Strategic Studies, announced at the Digitalization of Defence and Security Summit held in November 2021. Anvesh will be conducting independent research and analysis into the latest geopolitical developments discussed by the Policy Insights Forum.

"We are delighted to grant this award to Anvesh and look forward to working with him this summer. As he completes his law degree with the University of Ottawa, we are pleased to support his professional interests in the intersection of national security, foreign policy, and the law", remarks Goran Samuel Pesic, CEO of the Samuel Group and Executive Chair of the PIF.
“As a newcomer to Ottawa, the Samuel Group has already done much to make me feel welcome and at home. I look forward to contributing to the growth of the PIF as a platform for independent strategic thought, and hope to gain experience in organizing policy events, publishing research pieces, and providing distinct geopolitical insights”, said Anvesh Jain.

Anvesh is a Juris Doctor candidate at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law. He holds an honours degree in International Relations from the University of Toronto, with a focus in Canadian Foreign and Security Relations.

His writing examines strategic trends within the South Asian and Euro-Atlantic contexts, and he has previously been published by the Columbia SIPA Journal of International Affairs, the Macdonald-Laurier Institute, the Stimson Center, and the U.S Air University's Journal of Indo-Pacific Affairs, among others. Prior to joining the Samuel Group, Anvesh has worked in government, NGOs, think tanks, and the museum sector.
