As featured in Canadian Defence Review (CDR), the Halifax Citadel Reception has become a signature industry gathering celebrating Canada’s defence and security community — bringing together government, industry, and veterans’ organizations.

As Canada strengthens its Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) program and sets the course for the next decade of defence investment, it is vital that we direct a portion of ITB commitments toward supporting veterans — ensuring those who have served continue to benefit from the prosperity their service has secured.

By aligning ITBs with programs such as Homes for Heroes, industry and government can together create pathways for training, employment, and reintegration — extending the defence value chain to include our most valuable national resource: our veterans.
